I just found a list of central London journeys that could be quicker to walk than taking the tube. I'm considering making a map for our team with those connections marked on

Piccadilly Circus - Leicester Square - Covent Garden is absolutely worth doing since theyre like a minute walk from each other

Hmm, is there a time of day where they're less busy? Claiming them earlier in the day when they might be less busy could be a strategy to make them difficult to battle later in the game

The waterloo and city line does not run on weekends. I found this out last time

thats why i think we go straight over to Piccadilly and get the 3 stations there, then go up to Warren Street and get the 4 stations there

The other thing we need to consider is that other teams will be strategizing too and some of them may come up with the same strategy as us

If they end up slightly ahead of us and start claiming everything in sequence before we can, we need a contingency plan

I think south of the river is gonna be a ghost town, all the action will be north of the river so if everything fails we go to like Battersea Power Station or something

I suggest that in the event that we get beaten to one of the Piccadilly line stations while we're trying to claim it, we abandon the Piccadilly line and go directly to the Warren Street cluster

In the last game I felt like our team was making the most progress when we were just travelling down a tube line claiming the stations one by one

I guess we have to see what the other teams do, having 3 other teams to contend with will mean we might have to battle a lot

I think middle-game strategy after the clusters is to pick a line as our own and claim all of them

One other bit of strategy I can think of to prepare us for the late game which I think will be full of battles due to the number of teams. We should look at what the battles are and think about where in London it would be easiest to get the biggest advantage

Ideally we want to claim stations in the middle-game which give the challengers the biggest disadvantage and end up in a part of London where we have the biggest advantage

but also the early-game territorial claim needs to happen to basically show the other teams we have our territory, keep out

Last game, we battled another team and had to get as high from the ground as we could in 10 minutes. But we were in central London and couldn't move around the crowds very fast. So we ended up not even getting into a multi-storey building at all

i think we'll have to review what the battle challenges are in advance

So I think central London clusters are pretty good since the challengers have a disadvantage due to the overcrowding pretty much no matter what the challenge

Btw if anyone else wants to comment on our strategy, it's not set in stone or anything

i'm going to bring some pens and sheets of paper, i know someone else will be bringing enough paper for everyone but i wanna make sure we have everything ready if we get a drawing challenge

also if we do a battle, i sincerely hope we get the one involving naming as many countries in the world as possible, because i can name all 197 by heart

Yeah agreed, I was looking at them and thinking the same. At least it's easily visible where a shortcut exists though. I don't anticipate this being needed except in case of dramatic changes of plans though

I'm bringing a drawing pad tomorrow so we should be good. From my experience, it's not worth going out of our way to initiate a battle because it's time spent travelling to and maybe claiming a station, rather than most likely claiming a station if there's one nearby

Yep, I think since there's 4 teams though there will come a point where there are few free stations left so there will be a lot of battles in the late game
