Welcome to BFZ1

Please find the rules and some challenges attached (helpdesk will have an additional briefing message shortly)! Once assigned, each team will have a Team Chat and a Verification channel. Please use the Team Chat to communicate with helpdesk as this channel is available to all players and helpdesk. Updates throughout the game will be posted in #game-announcements by helpdesk. Please take the time you have to fully understand the rules, use this channel to discuss/question. There is also a #deleted-channel available to all - if necessary helpdesk will drag you to a private channel if you need to

Important information

Scheduled game time is 09:00 - 18:00 with a mandatory break from 13:00 - 14:00. Please arrive in good time.
Start and End meeting point is Piccadilly Circus Underground Station.
At least one member of each team will need to share their live location to helpdesk
Please bring some from of ID if possible, as it may be needed during and after the game Good luck and have fun!

I recommend all players dress for wind and rain. London is forecast to get the tail end of Storm Darragh on Saturday and it looks as if there is likely to be rain through a lot of the day.

It is only the tail end and the storm is hitting the west coast mainly, but there is nevertheless a yellow weather warning for wind in effect, as well as a 90%+ chance of rain predicted in central London consistently though the day

What I meant is I would've contested it since it was last minute and can be a bit annoying but cannot be helped. Hence why it's not worth bothering.

Last time I booked a ticket I had to pick up I ran into LNER insisting on you using the same card, and that card on your phone doesn't work either (virtual number)... fortunately I managed to get all the way to London to an open ticket office and they printed it for me

Mine is not. Going to work would take me 45 minutes if the connection would work but most of the times it is delayed so I would have to catch the next train and the journey would take 1h 15m.

@Players Due to Team 3 potentially starting with no experienced players at 09:00, helpdesk have agreed to offer a delayed start with the following revised game times out of fairness: 09:30 - 13:30, 14:30 - 18:00 If there are no objections, and enough players agreeing by 08:50, we will then delay the game accordingly. No. But you may use the Elizabeth line to travel to a station.

oh yeah i just thought they both did attempted and got approved for whatever reason

We had a spreadsheet with a randomisation function that let us roll 50/50 between picking one of the fixed challenges on the list, and one of the hidden challenges. If the 50/50 came up for one of the hidden challenges, we rolled for all of them that had not been completed to pick one (edited)

Thanks all for the game, and for Helpdesk for running it! I was worried about the weather but besides delaying me getting there (and, it seems, back), it wasn't as bad as I'd feared.

Yeah, we on team 1 were also considering going north from Earl's Court instead of following the Piccadilly line back towards the centre. If we did that we would probably have done better, but that's hindsight

Yeah, we were quite lucky with our early challenges, whenever the location one would have been slow we usually got a quick TaskMetro one. A couple later on were harder, like the face cookie that took ages, and the one we had to veto due to not wanting to go to Stansted

Also, the amount of challenges that were acceptable, either outright or with minor modifications, is a considerably small subset of the full deck. It serves better as an inspiration to create our own tasks than to outright use them (edited)
