Well yeah, but there’s still 7 choices during each wheel time. So you want to find the most optimal route within wheel times while still hopefully not fighting against another team on each step. Also there’s different strategies for if you want to lock it right away or not. Do you try to claim as much as possible first and then lock? Or do you lock every single one, or every other one? Do you half way through switch to following a different team and try to lock everything they’ve claimed but not locked? There’s many strategies possible here.

tbh strategising in these games usually starts when the game starts and everyone goes "oh shit what do we do" (edited)

If you have a 1-6 travelcard the staff will usually just let you on HS1

Just so you're aware, you will not know any of the claiming challenges until any team actually claims a borough. You will be given all locking challenges before the game starts.

it really depends how long challenges take, there is an argument for claiming (but not locking) one or even two central southern boroughs before going north to follow the wheel

Helpdesk here: After the initial batch, it's generally an additional 2 boroughs per half-hour

So at any given time there are usually 2 sets of 2 boroughs activated, 2 that have recently opened, and 2 soon to close

The exceptions would be at the beginning and end when there are more, immediately before or after lunch, when there are fewer, and I guess, technically during the exact minute of switching over, when there are also fewer

Just to clarify, since the bread challenge did not require purchasing individual ingredients, neither would the fruit salad challenge. However, all ingredients must be in the same frame.

A reminder of the Locking challenge for Newham: Reunite east ham and west ham with Ham. Your team must split up and go to both West Ham and East Ham tube stations. Before doing so, you must buy Ham of any kind of a ham sandwich (Alternatively, if you're not comfortable with touching ham or you cannot afford, you can simply take a picture of this ham sandwich for sale). When you get to both of the stations, both teams must hold the items up like you're claiming your territory, in front of the station entrance or any of the roundels bearing the name. To avoid confusion, please note, all the players do not have to travel to both locations, just split up.
