have been working on challenge board placement -- expecting to use a pay-per-stop (different prices for different modes) model for travel -- i'll port across a load of my manchester tramopoly challenges soon, making them more suited to wagering points -- i also think since there are 10 boroughs, this game could work with 3 teams -- challenge boards aren't particularly hard to get to, but the challenges will send you to different places within the borough

I might be available for the test run - Manchester is very easy to get to for me... Apparently there's a (almost) 24 hour train service to Leeds which is great

I'm similarly close to Manchester, could play a test run

hi! no challenge progress but ruleset is pretty much sorted... if i don't ready this in time #deleted-channel ("Tramopoly") in manchester is a fully functional game that could work as a backup

In terms of challenges, we can all probably chip in. Just need to know what sort of challenges we'd need to brainstorm

Oh @aneurin, do we need Helpdesk? Apparently I didn't arrange a sign up form yet.

Helpdesk isn't required but because every game we've ever played had a helpdesk role, I've asked if it can be implemented, in which case it's a very light role and we'll only need one or two.

for tramopoly, yes, helpdesk would only be needed to verify challenges if we want to do that

And for the main game you're planning?

Considering it's a JL style format, I'm considering it likely so.

I don't really understand what's wrong with taking a slower train though. Beggers can't be choosers. And TfW (which is the first train) isn't slow

I think it's gonna be difficult to buy tickets for both Saturday and Sunday for different routes hence why it's probably cheaper to go within a day.

I think it's cheaper to try and return within a day. Saves from having to book a hotel as I've already spent quite a lot on accommodation for Edinburgh and Berlin and as well as plans for Barcelona.

For train costs I think you could buy a regular return ticket for an Avanti train and if they strike it will be valid on other trains

My plan for after the game was just to spend the night at home, which saves on having to book accommodation. The flight is relatively late the next day and I can easily make it from my house on the same day

Regardless I think it'll be great to arrange an after event somewhere in or around Piccadilly station (My train I'm planning to go back on is at 20:15 and there are no trains to London after this)
